Walnut oil may not be as commonly known or used as other oil types, but it has a long history of usage and boasts many valuable nutrients. As an example, it is known for its delicate flavour and beneficial levels of antioxidants and omega-3 fatty acids. Gourmet cooks have shown an increasing amount of interest in walnut oil and the cosmetics industry has long favoured the many uses that come with this mild but impactful oil.
To achieve optimal results in your oil pressing, we recommend a walnut oil press that not only works fast and efficient but can also retain these crucial nutrients in your results. As such, our walnut oil presses are designed to be easy to use and capable of producing a high yield of oil. From their robust construction to their versatile functionality, the walnut oil presses from OILXPELLER are a must-have for anyone looking to produce pure and high-quality walnut oil!
The features and benefits of our walnut oil press machines
One major feature of our oil expellers such as the walnut oil press is the incredible flexibility of our machines. Not only are these cold oil press machines ideal both for beginners and professionals: You can use them for a wide variety of oil seeds and nuts. This way, you will also be able to use our walnut oil presses as coconut oil machines or as peanut oil machines or for almonds, rapeseeds, hemp, and many, many more.
Besides their versatility and flexibility, our walnut oil presses are constructed with premium materials such as stainless steel, brass, and ceramics. These not only give them their modern looks but also ensure high durability and longevity.
Additionally, the modular design of our walnut oil presses allows for easy scalability. You can start small if needed or wanted and always add more press heads later as your production needs grow. This is particularly favoured in our OILXPELLER Champ1on model.
We also stock the fitting oil press parts for every model, guaranteeing that your production line is never halted for long.
How the extraction works with our walnut oil machines
The extraction process of walnut oil using our presses involves just a few and easy steps. For the very first step, it is important to clean your walnuts before processing. After that, the walnut seeds are loaded into the hopper or funnel of our walnut oil presses.
Start your walnut oil press and the seeds will be transported into the pressing chamber. There they’ll be crushed and pressed under high pressure by a screw press mechanism. This extraction step of the cold oil pressing method is done slowly to help retain the beneficial nutrients of the oil. However, because our walnut oil presses can work continuously, you’ll have a constant stream of extraction going on at home or in your shop, allowing for a faster overall production.
After the pressing, the oil is filtered and collected through an outlet, while the solid residue is kept within the machine.
An often overlooked byproduct: The press cake
As mentioned above, the solid and often fibrous leftovers of the pressing process are kept in the walnut oil press. These leftovers are a natural part of the process as not every part of your nuts or seeds will be used in the oil. However, these leftovers are a valuable byproduct of the pressing process, known as the press cake.
This byproduct is still very rich in nutrients and has several uses of its own, some of them also commercial. One of the common uses of press cake is as animal feed, especially for dairy cows, often thought to improve the quality of their milk. Besides that, press cake can be incorporated into organic fertilisers or be used in your own kitchen. The crushed walnut seeds can add a lot of texture and flavour to baked goods such as pancakes.
The models and specifications of our walnut oil presses
To meet the various needs of different customers, we have created a selection of walnut oil presses made up of several models. These are all united in their sturdy and durable designs with high-standard materials and assemblies but vary in terms of dimensions and production scales.
One incredibly popular option, especially for smaller scale operations, the OILXPELLER Fit4starter. With its capacity of 3-5 kg of seeds per hour and highly efficient power consumption of 1.1 kW, this walnut oil press is suited for start-up businesses and the private but ambitious use at home.
The larger model often found in labs and big businesses is the OILXPELLER Champ1on – our standard motorised model. It features an electrical motor and processes 10-30 kg of seeds per hour.
With both walnut oil presses, you’ll be able to scale up your production and work efficiently around the clock!
